This site would be more
aptly named "how not to operate a dating website" than
Devushka.net! This site is a great example of how things must not
be done. They have been in operation since 1997; however the women's
catalogue contains only 52 profiles! We are not talking limited
here. We're talking small, tiny, miniscule. Though the number of
pages in the catalogue is voluminous, do not be fooled. The pages
are EMPTY! Between the badly designed catalogue, a catalogue lacking
in content, the kicker is, the ladies profiles are rated by their
ID's; as well as the newest profiles being listed at the very end.
Though the profiles are easy to navigate they
contain too little information. Not only is the information terrible
the photographs are of poor quality. But, you will find a list of
services available in each of their profiles. They include: "order
her address", "send her a letter", "video chat",
and "send her a gift". Unfortunately, it seems the gift
giving and flower sending portion of the services is another ploy
of Devushka.net.
In addition, Devushka.net has a number of ridiculous
rules that you must conform to, including forbidding you to get
an e-mail address of a lady without visiting Ukraine and meet her
fact-to-face first.
If you are still with us at this point, let's
talk registration. While you can register for free, accessing the
packages of services can cost you a bundle. For "registration
and publishing", in other words, placing your profile on Devushka.net
and local newspapers it will cost you $199.99; matchmaking service,
also $199.99; "Mediator" - which helps you to look for
the girl of your dreams at other agencies sucks your wallet out
of $299.99. We saved the best for last. The "all inclusive"
will cost you $10,000, and it is only available for VIP members!
Let's clarify the VIP membership. Devushka.net's
VIP membership includes the same services offered at other dating
sites for their basic membership. Where are you getting the VIP
treatment?? Anyway, the only advantage concerning pricing seems
to be the low price for a tour. While the site does have on online
calculator to help figure out the cost for a tour, it fails to consider
all the services you may need for a pleasant stay in the Ukraine.
